Planmäßig wurde das nächste Release der KEMP Loadmaster Serie veröffentlicht. Ab morgen ist V7.-12a, als FinalRelease, als Download verfügbar. Hier die wichtigsten Änderungen und Features:

Die Performance von SSL Transactions am LoadMaster wurden verbessert und mit zusätzlichen Features wie TLS 1.2 Support, SNI Support und konfigurierbare Ciphers - Windows Server 2012 R2 Hyper-V
Ein neues VLM Package für Windows Server 2012 R2 Hyper-V wurde hinzugefügt um die neuen paravirtualisierte Umgebung zu supporten - Neue ESP Funktionalität hinzugefügt
Idle Session timeout kann nun modular konfiguriert werden und es ist möglich zwischen idle und session Timeout zu wechseln. - Ausbau der Befehle und Funktionen der RESful API (siehe spezielle RESTful Dokumentation)
- Zusätzliche Lizenzierungsinformationen sind zum Backup hinzugefügt worden
Probleme gelöst:
- Problem mit Packet Routing Filter nach dem Upgrade der Lizenz ist behoben
- Verbessertes Layer 4 handling bei der Konfigurationsänderung und Erweiterung der SNMP traps wurde hinzugefügt
- Problem mit dem Teilen der Persistenzinformation über SubVSs ist behoben
- High-Availability failover Problem bei vielen Interfaces ist behoben
- Problem mit Access Control Lists und IPv6 ist behoben
- Die HA ‘Forced Switchover’ Functionalität wurde entfernt
- Problem bei “Use Address” bei Server NAT Option wenn nachträglich neue RS hinzugefügt wurden ist behoben
- Problem wenn mittels RESTful API ein VS mit “Adaptive Scheduling” erstellt wurde ist behoben
- Problem mit VLAN trunking in Hyper-V VLMs ist behoben
- ESP Fehler wenn ein Kalendar in Exchange 2013 veröffentlicht wurde ist behoben
- Security vulnerability (CVE-2004-0230) behoben!
This vulnerability may still be reported after running a security test but this is because the test checks the kernel version. The fix has been backported into the LoadMaster but the kernel version has not been updated which is why the vulnerability is still reported even though it does not exist.
Bekannte Fehler:
- Access to the LoadMaster WUI using iPhones is not supported.
- The Netconsole IP is not applied immediately to both units of a HA pair
- Automated FTP backups must not contain special characters.
- Cannot immediately set the shared and partner IP addresses for HA if the IP address has been only obtained from DHCP. A workaround for this is to set the IP address again.
- A reboot is required if you add IPv6 as an alternative address, create an IPv6 Virtual
- Service and then create an Access Control List. The reboot is required before entries can be added to the Access Control List.
- On a GEO LM, it is not possible to specify an alternate address on an interface to receive DNS requests.
- Within a Virtual LoadMaster, the alternative NIC IP address settings are not being picked up until the machine is rebooted.
